Chirton Social Club is a social club on Front Street in North Shields, with a concert room spread over two levels and a stage. Snooker and pool are played here, and it also has a dartboard. Visitors describe the bar staff and committee as helpful, and mention a function room that hosts parties and family occasions, with children allowed to stay until the end of private functions.
Regulars also point to weekend entertainment, often from local acts, and to bingo nights. The club is described as clean and well kept, with an accessible lift and a step-free entrance. Its appeal seems to lie in its sociable, community feel as much as in the cue sport.
