About GMX SNOOKER ACADEMY (formerly Oldham Snooker Academy)
GMX Snooker Academy, formerly Oldham Snooker Academy, is a spacious pool and snooker hall in Oldham, set on the second floor of its building. The club has five match snooker tables, some of them partitioned into booths for privacy, alongside American pool tables and a single British eight-ball table. Visitors describe the atmosphere as laid back, with sport on television rather than music, and the venue is cash only.
Regulars mention the tables being well maintained and the venue suiting groups and tournament play, with a tea and food offer and a selection of drinks. Some visitors describe the staff as friendly and respectful, while others report a less welcoming experience on certain visits.
